Whiskey Smoke 808 on the Windward side hits the bbq spot. The brisket was fatty, tender, and delicious. The pork ribs were leaner and denser. The chicken was slightly on the drier side in comparison to the above, but with great smoky flavor. The standard choice of sides were a nice accompaniment to the meats. They also have a selection of bbq sauces to choose from.

I've had this place on my list for some time now and finally ended up going over to Kaneohe. It was definitely worth the drive! There's lots of parking and a decent amount of seating inside. I got the two choice plate with the ribs and brisket with the elote and beans as my side. I loved the brisket - it was super soft and flavorful. I got it with the coffee sauce, which sounds weird but was actually really good. I loved the elote! I would definitely come back here again. They were also selling energy bars on the counter. My friend got the variety pack, so I got to try the pistachio and Oreo flavors.

I wasn't expecting to find some southern-style bbq in Hawaii, but Whiskey Smoke 808 proved me wrong! My family and I were driving to check out Kualoa ranch and were in need of some lunch. As soon as Yelp suggested Whiskey Smoke 808, the decision was a no-brainer; I work at a bbq restaurant, so I'll never pass up the opportunity to try somebody else's craft. The restaurant is housed in this large blocky building right next to Kamehameha Highway, which makes it a perfect pit stop if you're passing through Kaneohe. They have an ample amount of seating inside, and the bathroom is outside. When it comes to the food, they've got all the goods, including beef brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, and smoked chicken. They also have some unique stuff, like tacos and brisket chili cheese fries. I opted to share an order of smoked wings with buffalo sauce, got a pulled pork sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese, and sampled some brisket off of a family member's plate. Wings: Had a solid smoky flavor and were the perfect size for an appetizer (on the smaller side) Pulled pork sandwich: I got this with their coffee bourbon sauce, and it was amazing! Most of the pork was soft, and the creaminess of the coleslaw on top along with the bbq sauce kept it from being too dry. Brisket: The piece I had had a thin ribbon of fat at the top, which gave the brisket a nice salty taste. It was also moist. Mac: I'm pretty sure this was baked cause it had breadcrumbs on top. It was creamy but wasn't drowning in sauce, so you could still taste the noodles. In addition to great meats and sides, they also have a wide selection of desserts. Unfortunately, I was too full to have any. If you find yourself looking for some legit southern bbq in Kaneohe, give Whiskey Smoke 808 a try right now!

Wonderful bbq.... ribs, chicken, burger, brisket, pulled pork, and hot link were ordered and shared amongst the family... we had a feast!!! I contacted Corey about my wife's celiac and he and his crew were amazing about taking care of the food!!! All the meats are gluten free and so are the sauces!!! Sides coleslaw, beans, elote, fries and Brussel sprouts are gluten free too!! Great family, and awesome place to eat at!!! Thanks again

The only thing I can say is BEST TEXAS BBQ ON THE ISLAND OF OAHU. I have tried every single bbq place on this dang island and have never had anything as good as Whiskey Smoke 808. I found this place after some business I needed to do in Kaneohe and boy am I glad I dragged my fiance here immediately. On a Sunday night, the restaurant was near full when we arrived but we got lucky as they were just clearing off a table! Prices are very reasonable for a giant platter of food that will leave you waddling out of the door. I got the combo plate with pulehu shortribs and brisket (of course) with a side of fried brussels sprouts and mac n cheese with the spicy guava bbq sauce. My fiance got the same but with lamb chops instead of the shortribs. Both the lamb chops And short rib incurred a small extra charge but it was 100000% worth it. The staff there also recommended we get a side of the chimichurri and oh my gosh they were spot on. The chimichurri was flavorful and paired perfectly with the meats. Any place that makes food as good as this obviously makes good desserts. My plan was to get a banana pudding to go after we finished our meal but unfortunately that was everyone else's plan too and they were sold out by the time we finished. Highly recommend this barbecue spot and make sure you grab some to go items too! They have a front counter where they sell meats, sausages, dips, and desserts :)

Really good bbq. I had the brisket and chicken plate. Sides of slaw and bbq beans. Good stuff. Like you assume a bbq place would be, but never is... the food is ready basically ready when you order. And it came out as fast as they could scoop the slaw! What's up with them slow q places? Not really a service place, treat it like a take out with a seating area. Lots of parking, and I think they have restrooms around the back of the store. Clean and ample seating... try it out.

Whiskey Smoke 808 is a must try barbecue place whenever you're traveling to the windward side. From the meats to their Mac and cheese, the aromatic smoke permeating their food just makes you wanna take up smoking. But smoking is an art, and at Whiskey Smoke 808, they got it down. Meats are tender, juicy, and flavorful. Service is good and quick. Very attentive and friendly. The interior is clean and organized with indoor and outdoor seating. We were craving some BBQ and heard Whiskey Smoke was the place to try. All their food was delicious. The meat had great flavor and the Guava Chili sauce paired nicely with the BBQ meats! Their brisket tacos were juicy with bold and delicious flavors. They BBQ their meats right outside in big BBQ grills. The service was slow but they were very nice. Once we sat down and got our drinks, we had to wait a long time to place our order. The server finally came by when she saw us stand up to go place our order at the cashier.
